I want to thank you for everything that you have done for me. When you were diagnosed with breast cancer, I was in pure shock. I always thought that this would never happen to you. No one, especially you, deserved this. I want to apologize for all the attitudes and fights and stress I put on you over the years. I read stories and researched about women and their experiences with breast cancer. I read everything I possibly could. Then the tears came, I cried so hard I couldn't read the words on my computer anymore. I felt horrible because I was supposed to be strong for you and I couldn't be.
You fought, and you fought hard, and you are still fighting. I want to thank you for being an awesome mom and teaching me about the finer things in life, how to love, and how to be a kind person. You're a fighter, a survivor, but most importantly, my mom.
I plan to participate in the 2022 Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk presented by Hyundai for you and all the other women and moms out there that must battle this horrible disease.
Love you Mom.
To all those women suffering, it is hard but there is hope and happy ending, don't stop fighting. You will struggle, you will fall, but you will conquer.
To everyone out there,
When you make a gift to my Walk (Full marathon: 26.2 Miles), you’re directly supporting Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s unique 50-50 balance between cutting-edge research and compassionate patient care.
