Hello everyone! I am participating in the 2022 Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk presented by Hyundai, taking steps toward the ultimate finish line: a world without cancer. I chose to fundraise for the Jimmy Fund to honor the memory of three amazing and wonderful people who are no longer with us due to this terrible disease. My father, Jack Ryan, passed away from lung cancer at 70 years old, leaving his friends and family far too soon. My cousin, Jimmy Corbett, passed away from cancer at the age of 33, leaving his family, including two young boys, heartbroken. And earlier this year, Mr. Peter Giambanco, who was one of the most loveliest men you could ever meet, who always had the biggest smile, passed away from cancer. All three have left an indelible mark on all who knew them. I will walk the half-marathon route in their memory.
When you make a gift to my Walk, you’re directly supporting Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s unique 50-50 balance between cutting-edge research and compassionate patient care. Your support allows Dana-Farber leaders to enhance programs and initiatives that serve pediatric and adult patients and their families.
Thank you for supporting my Jimmy Fund Walk fundraising efforts. Every amount, no matter how small, will truly make a difference and I believe that together, we can defy cancer! Thank you very much!
