What is Jimmy Fund Bingo Night?

Jimmy Fund Bingo Night is a fun, interactive, and family-friendly virtual game night hosted via the Jimmy Fund’s Facebook live. This virtual event is typically hosted by local celebrities and was originally created to keep the Jimmy Fund community together during COVID-19, quickly becoming a fan-favorite! The virtual event will continue to bring The Jimmy Fund community together during cold winter months.

When will Bingo Night return?

Virtual Bingo Night will return in winter 2022. Be sure to check social media and email for the latest announcements!

Where do I find my Bingo Cards?

Bingo cards will be sent to your email with game instructions within 48 hours of purchase or before the start of the Bingo Night game. If you did not receive the email, check your junk email for an email titled "Your Jimmy Fund Bingo Cards." If you cannot find your Bingo cards, please reach out to our team at JimmyFundBingo@dfci.harvard.edu.

Can I still purchase Bingo Cards?

Bingo cards are available for purchase until a few hours before the start of each Bingo Night. The deadline will always be specified on the ticket form. If you miss the deadline to purchase Bingo cards you can still participate as an audience member! We encourage you to visit the Jimmy Fund Facebook page and join in the chat.

How do I play Bingo?

I don’t see the livestream.

Visit the Jimmy Fund Facebook page. If you are using a desktop computer, the livestream video will appear on right hand side of the page below the profile photo. If you are using a mobile device, the livestream video will appear right below the profile photo. If you do not see the video, click the "refresh" button at the top of your internet browser to refresh the page.

The internet connection was lost.

We do our best to ensure that the host(s) have a strong internet connection before the start of the game. If we do experience technical difficulties, please notify us in the livestream chat or email us at JimmyFundBingo@dfci.harvard.edu.

Can I play with more than one card?

Yes, if you purchased multiple cards you can play with all your cards at the same time for each round. When the round is over, clear all your Bingo cards and use them again in the next round and so on.

I bought more than one card, can I give to family or friends to play with me?

Yes, if you want to share your Bingo cards you can give them to a family member or friend. If that person wins Bingo they should comment "BINGO" with their card number in the livestream chat. Based on the Bingo card number, we will look up the email registered to that Bingo card and reach out to you. At that time you can provide your friend or family member’s contact information.

How do I win Bingo?

For each round of Bingo, a different type of Bingo game will be played. Before each round the host of the Bingo game will describe how to play and win. If you win Bingo, comment “Bingo” in the livestream comment section with your Bingo card number. You will need to be logged into a Facebook account. If you do not have a Facebook account please refer to "I don’t have a Facebook account" below.

What do I do if I win?

If you win, comment "BINGO" with your Bingo card number (located in the four outer corners of your card) in the Facebook livestream chat.

If I don’t have a Facebook account, can I still play and win?

Yes, navigate to the Jimmy Fund Facebook page where you can watch and listen to the livestream without logging in. If you win Bingo you can email JimmyFundBingo@dfci.harvard.edu with your name and winning Bingo card number.

Can there be more than one winner per round?

Yes! Sometimes more than one person may get Bingo at the same time. If that is the case, both or multiple players win and will receive a prize. If you do not have a Facebook account and you win, email JimmyFundBingo@dfci.harvard.edu.

What should I use to mark my Bingo card(s)?

Collect 25 items (per card) around your home to use as Bingo chips. We recommend reusable items, as you will use the same cards for multiple games. These can be scrap pieces of paper, pennies, macaroni, paper clips—get creative!

What is the prize(s) if I win Bingo?

Bingo round prizes will vary based on the Bingo Night. You can listen for the host to announce prizes or you can find the official rules and regulations for each Bingo Night on the ticket form for that event.

Can I support a patient through the Bingo program?

Yes! There is always an option to buy a Bingo card for a current patient. The option will be available on the ticket form. It is called "Sponsor a patient." When you sponsor a patient, we provide a patient with Bingo card(s) to join in the game.

I have a mission-centered story that I would like to share.

How do I make a gift during the Bingo game?

Thank you for your support of the Jimmy Fund! To make a gift during the livestream event, click on the donate button below or to the right of the livestream video. You may be taken to a new window for a moment to complete your transaction.

My company has a matching gift program. Can I support Jimmy Fund Bingo by submitting a matching gift through my company and still play in the game?

Yes! Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match any charitable contributions or volunteer hours made by their employees. If your company is eligible (check eligibility here), request a matching gift form from your employer, and send it completed and signed with your gift to your employer. Then, send a copy or screenshot to JimmyFundBingo@dfci.harvard.edu and we will send you Bingo cards to play in the game of your choice. The impact of your gift to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute may be doubled or possibly tripled!
